How to Run Fun and Productive Practices in Elite Gaming Live (EGL)
Practices help build team culture and should be scheduled between Game Days. Use the first half for EGL Academy lessons, then allow fun gameplay, including approved non-standard games or tournaments.
Practices are a great way to build team culture and create excitement around your team! We recommend scheduling practices in between your official Game Days.
Spend the first half of your practice allowing players to explore the EGL Academy and complete lessons. Once they have completed a few lessons, let them play on the consoles for fun. You may also allow students to play games not typically offered during Game Days, as long as they are approved by your organization.
You can even run a whiteboard or pen-and-paper tournament for fun! Please note that practices do not include roll call, brackets, or a broadcaster.
