Season Championship Types
This article will list the different types of season championships and describe each of them.
EGL offers 2 types of end of season Championships:
In-House:
- Coaches host their Team Championship as a match between their top 10 players that have the highest LiveScore for the current season.
- It is hosted similar to a Game Day
- Each team must choose only 1 game to play during the Team Championships
- Held over 1 week with 3 time blocks to choose from
- Coaches are able to select a day from that week and which time block they want for their Championship
- The Team Champion (1st place) will receive a prize from EGL
EGL League-Wide Virtual:
- The top players on your team compete against other EGL players virtually.
- Each player must choose only 1 game to play.
- Held over 1 week on 2 consecutive days for East Coast players and 2 consecutive days for West Coast players to accommodate time zone differences.
- With 2 different games being played on each day
- Communication on specific dates, times, and games played will be sent to coaches towards the end of the season
- The overall Champion and Runner-Up of each game will receive prizes from EGL
- Important Must-Haves to participate:
- Internet access for gaming consoles
- An active EPIC, PSID, and/or Nintendo Switch ID
- Correct NAT-Type (A or B)
